Genuine Aprilia 4x5 Woodruff or Transmission key, part number AP0246570, item number 5 in the diagram.
The woodruff key is a half moon shaped machine piece of metal commonly known as a key, that prevents gears, hubs or other components from moving independently of a rotating shaft or spindle. They also act as a fail safe that will protect expensive parts by shearing under excessive loads.
These are a great item to have if you're doing your own engine build but please note this is for the 4x5 not 6x9 key.
